Todd T. Duwel began his term on the Board of Education in January 2012. Todd has lived in Oakwood for the majority of the past 23 years. He is a graduate of Oakwood High School (1990), Miami University (B.A., Political Science), and the University of Dayton School of Law (J.D.). Todd and his wife Lisa, have three daughters, all of whom attend Oakwood Schools. Todd works as an attorney with a local downtown firm, concentrating its practice on business and employment-related matters, and the defense of design professional within Ohio and Kentucky.
Todd has served the Oakwood Schools Education Foundation as an Advisory Council member, and previously served the Oakwood City Schools’ Business Advisory Council, which comprises a group of Oakwood residents who meet monthly to review the finances and business operations of the school district. He has also served on the Associate Board of the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery, and regularly volunteers his time to various other philanthropic and charitable interests, including the Brian Hafer Foundation, where he is a founding board member, and its current President.
Todd is the Oakwood Schools Education Foundation liaison for the Board.

Christopher B. Epley, Vice President
Christopher Epley began his term on the Oakwood Board of Education in January, 2010. Chris graduated from Harman Elementary School in 1981 and Oakwood High School in 1987. He attended Denison University graduating in 1991 with a double major in English and Spanish. Chris is also a graduate of the University of Dayton School of Law. His wife, Eileen, is a physical therapist with the Miami Valley Regional Center. Their son is in first grade and their daughter will be part of the Oakwood High School class of 2024.
Chris is the founder and owner of Christopher B. Epley Co., LPA, a Dayton, Ohio based law firm. The client-focused full service firm has a presence in the greater Miami Valley and focuses on and provides solutions for family law, criminal defense and civil litigation. Chris is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Dayton School of Law and serves on a variety of committees with the Dayton Bar Association. Chris is a member of Leadership Dayton, Class of 2007, a 2006 40 under 40 award winner, and 2009 Law Day Juvenile Division Special Service Award. Chris also serves as a Guardian Ad Litem in Juvenile Court, a visiting Magistrate in Dayton, and a part-time prosecutor in Vandalia.
Chris is the Legislative liaison and serves on the Policy Review Committee for the Board.

Sam Davis began his term on the Board of Education in January of 2008.
Mr. Davis is a graduate of Harman Elementary School and a 1979 graduate of
Oakwood High School. He subsequently earned a BS in Marketing from Ball
State University and an MA in Sports Marketing from The Ohio State
University. Mr. Davis currently works for Spohn Associates, Inc., as a manufacturers' representative in the commercial construction industry. He has also served on the Oakwood Schools' Facilities Council, and his memberships include St. Paul's Episcopal Church and the Construction Specifications Institute.
Mr. Davis returned to the community in 1998 with his wife, Jill (OHS '82), and their three sons, Harrison (freshman at Marist College), Weston (11th grade) and Bennett (8th grade).
Sam is the Business Advisory Council and Facilities Committee liaison for the Board.

Michael A. Miller, Board Member
Mike Miller began his term on the Board of Education in January 2010. Mike attended both Smith and Harman and graduated from Oakwood in 1981. He attended Denison University graduating in 1985 with a double major in Political Science and History. His wife, Linda, is also a graduate of Oakwood (’77) and his two sons are in the Oakwood classes of 2016 and 2017. Mike is also a 2002 Grimmy© Award Honoree from Project READ. Project READ was a coalition of public and private organizations working together to build skilled workers, strong families, and healthy communities. Mike brings a pledge of collaboratively working to further the mission, vision and values of the Oakwood School System.
Mike is the Student Achievement/Communication liaison for the Board.

Elizabeth K. Reger, Board Member
Elizabeth Reger became a member of the Board of Education in January 2006.
She and her husband, Bruce, have two children, Sam is a sophomore at Oakwood High School and Madison graduated in the Class of OHS 2011.
Elizabeth graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. Prior to October 2005, she worked as a paralegal for nineteen years. She has been an active community volunteer for many years, most recently as a volunteer at E.D. Smith School, including serving in various capacities for the Smith PTO.
Elizabeth is the P.T.O. liaison for the Board.
