Thank you for visiting the Oakwood City School District Treasurer’s Office Website. My staff and I have developed this to provide relevant information about the business operations of the district. Our goal is to maintain financial credibility and accountability to our taxpayers, parents, students, and staff of the Oakwood City Schools.
As the Chief Financial Officer for the largest employer in Oakwood, I am responsible for every dollar spent by the Oakwood Schools. In my tenure over the past eighteen years with the Oakwood School District, we have spent approximately $400 million without any misuse of funds and all our audit opinions have been the best possible.
Oakwood Schools have received awards for financial reporting, including awards for the past fourteen years from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) and from the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO). In addition, the school district has also won awards from the State of Ohio Auditor’s Office.
Being a school administrator is much more than crunching numbers; it also is about being active in the community. My family and I live in Oakwood and as the father of three sports enthusiastic sons, I have had the opportunities to coach hundreds of current and past Oakwood students in sports such as baseball, basketball, chess and soccer. In this capacity, I hope that I have had a positive influence on our students as well as a financially sound and well managed school district.
